I called the number to get more info and spoke with the person who does sales of these units. He was very helpful and I did not get the feeling like he was trying to push a sale...in fact he gave several ideas on how I could utilize my existing equipment and avoid a purchase.When he answered the phone he did not say Emotiva, he said XXXX (can't remember the name) Design. I asked about that and he said they are actually a company that designs and manufactures amps/pres/receivers for some of the bigger name companies (would not say which ones) and decided to start the Emotiva line 'for fun' to put some of their own ideas into products. They don't market or sell retail because they do not want to compete with their 'bread and butter' customers and piss them off...so they keep it pretty low key.
