Hi,
Did you ever solve the tube noise in left channel? I have a K&K phono board in a Gill Alana preamp, and I also notice tube noise from the left channel only (some hum from the right channel) that has not gone away with changing tubes (linestage is very quiet). Not audible at listening seat, but is a curious coincidence.
Realize this is an old post.
