Does Rega require purchases to be from authorized dealers for warranty service? If so, how does one find out if a dealer is authorized?

No they don't. Rega issue a LIFETIME warranty with their turntables...I bought one secondhand and STILL got it serviced free and managed to get a cheap (£50 UKP) RB300 out of them because the old one was knackered.

All from a dealer who no longer deal with Rega! (sorry it's in Glasgow - maybe a bit far for you!!!)
