Yeesterday, I was just almost walking out with a fresh copy of the 180gm regroovement of Paul Butterfield Blues Band "Got A Mind To Give Up Livin" - Live 1966 [Real Gone Music RGM-0492 -one blue vinyl, one yellow- oi!).

There on the high-price shelf, what catches my eye the timeless cover of Captain Beyond's eponymous 1972 first album. Another 180gm new-millennium pressing! After making the EllPeeHut gal swear it sounded GREAT, I handed over a tear-soaked, inordinate number of my credit dollars [this is the Hut I've been selling off my herd-thinnings to...] First, its shocking that anyone ["Purple Pyramid" Rekkids] would go to the trouble to reissue this fine, relatively obscure psychedelic LP. The Discogs website says it was a 500-disc limited issue... It does sound great. My original copy disappeared in some sort of drug-related incident in the 70's but now, like so many things, it's all come around that big ol' wheel! Purple Pyramid's catalog is really far out... Much obscure psychedelia, Tangerine Dream stuff, etc etc.

Did you get the one with the splatter colored vinyl or the clear vinyl? Velvet cover or glossy?
