About a month ago my sister promised to bring her ex'es record collection for me to go through. She decided to take a train instead so didn't bring them. She's coming again this weekend, this time with a car and the records.

Fingers are crossed.

And a little background too:

Not selling, giving. She just wants them out of her house. She never did go through it herself and let me know what was there.

One time when they were still married he was over and I put on DSOTM. He was floored by how good it sounded. He said something to the effect of "I'll have to pull mine out again". Apparently he never did. He left his records behind but my sister is really ticked off by some of the stuff he did take. As far as she's concerned they are all mine.

She sent me a pic, it is barely two boxes. The only cover though that I could make out was a Jackson Browne album. Not my favorite, but OK. She said it was mostly classic rock, some jazz, and a few classical. I'll find out later today or tomorrow. She did say that I probably already have a lot of them.

When they do the top 1043 classic rock countdown over thanksgiving weekend every year I'm always surprised by the number of the top 50 that I have. That still leaves 1000 songs...
