Except that it was staring me in the face, and I even knew the history.

I was walking through the Times Square subway station, having just gotten off the shuttle, and there it was. RECORD MART. Now I remember the store in the old days at the top of the ramp from the BMT, and I knew the story of them reopening it just around the corner when they redesigned the station. And I knew them to be the premier source of Latin music back in the day. And I walked by all the time.

But not being a Latin music fan I never paid attention. Until yesterday, when as I'm walking by the window I see an AC/DC record displayed. Then I thought I'd take a look even though not an AC/DC fan either. They had all of the reissues that are floating around, a much better selection than I'd seen anywhere else. All in a tiny space in a subway station. No used records though, there isn't enough space.
