Interesting mix for us in the boomer gen. It gave me some ideas about near future spins. However that Doors album sticks out for me because of this strange election season. Yeah, Strange Days. It fits.

and it is still one of my favorites.

That Grateful Dead cover sure looks like R. Crumb's handiwork, but I am not sure. I don't have any Grateful Dead to confirm that.

Thanks. I like all of the Blues Project LPs. Their "Live AT Town Hall" LP is a favorite.

The GD art is by Gilbert Shelton who did underground comix art.

Of course, both are comic book artists, and their style is very similar I think.

Both are or have been members of bands with fringe type music.

Both have done record jacket art that is definitely not run-of-the-mill.

Both are now living in France!

This book of R. Crumb's record cover art is real eye candy, if you don't already have it.

"Projections" still remains one of my favorite albums-- and I'm still playing my original copy! Along the way I managed to collect all the B.P. and Seatrain discography, I think. Pretty damn good players.

...a must have for Crumb fans.

This is a great one to have as well. I also have some of the trading card sets also. Pretty much a one of a kind artist.

Do you have this Persuasions' album, "Chirpin'"? It qualifies -

the Blues, and the one just called Trading Cards. I am not sure what the others are, but my son keeps sending them to me.

The only thing I didn't like about Crumb was that DVD with his brother. Maybe it was too real for me, but I always have the feeling that he could have helped his brother more.

I am a big fan of "Wonder Warthog" and the "Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers". Even though it was referred to as "Disco Dead" when I was in college, "Shakedown Street" still holds up for me.
