 Thanks for taking the trouble to cite your review here, because I never would have seen it otherwise. Durand tonearms are always beautifully made, probably superior in that department to any other tonearms I've seen, given that I have not seen some other candidates. In the Talea (and in the Triplanar), the counter-weight is positioned so its center of mass is at the level of the LP surface. However, in the later Durand tonearms, I see that this practice has been abandoned. The Telos CW is same as yours, in line with the arm wand, so it's not a matter of cost. I wonder why Durand has abandoned that design element; it is done in order to minimize variation in VTF due to record warps and other causes of vertical movement of the cartridge body wrt the LP surface. Also, I wonder whether the sliding azimuth bar could create a mechanical vibration in the pathway for dissipation of mechanical energy coming from the cartridge body.

I don't mean to pick nits; it's great when you spend money and get a good outcome.
