I've asked this before and in fact a very generous inmate sent me one, but is there any alternative for the headshell for this arm? I really need more than two. Dammit.

I really hate to pay $100+ for one. I guess that's the main issue here. :)

Thanks.

Better than $600 for a JMW wand. /nt\, posted on July 29, 2015 at 14:16:53

He's selling bunches and bunches of nos Thorens parts and also some Thorens parts he's developed himself. See link below for a TP60 replacement.

disclaimer: I haven't tried this one. But it looks good in the photos.

Dave at Vinyl Nirvana is the best resource I have found - his are in pristine condition and come with shims and good quality wires. I have purchased three from him. They were $90 @.

On the subject of TP60 headshells.

Many have been abused. To find one in minty condition is not that common.
The thing is cast magnesium.
Even more rare is to find one with the original alignment jig that slips over the headshell end. This simple jig allows you to set vta and overhang in one fixture. The alignment proves out to be per Stevenson.

I had no idea they were magnesium.
