.....with the high-end turntable with the two-inch-thick platter, the tubed preamp and the retro power amp. Note the bottle of record-cleaning fluid and brush, and the super-tweeter at the top of the speakers. This cartoonist must have had some familiarity with high-end equipment.

.....listening to records is not incompatible with working out and eating properly.

Although, curiously, the food at the meetings usually attracts greater interest than the gear being demo'd.
