Does anyone know who Shirley Hoskins Collins was?

Her name shows up a lot as the writer of liner notes on jazz records like the Charlie Shavers 10 inch LP I found at a thrift today. She might have been the wife of Al "Jazzbo" Collins, if the link below is the same person.

First, it seems she was a professional "liner notes" writer.

And this may have been brought about by her journalism degree and the fact that she was married to Albert "Jazzbo" Collins, a jazz disc jockey who created the Purple Grotto at WNEW and KSFO and who briefly hosted NBC's "Tonight Show".
