And, after spending a little while reading the posts over on the Cable Asylum, I can only assume the sound engineer that posted that incredibly misinformed post is a regular at the AA Cable Thread.

That reminds me of his "Listener" magazine.
In that magazine Dudley derisively answers letters to the editor he views with contempt by calling those authors "bunnies". In one case Art titles his reply like this: "Not even God makes enough bunnies for this guy".

I enjoy many of Arts' reviews and articles. However I presume he, like a lot of us, is not lacking for arrogance. Certainly, the quoted text in this op does display a less than humble disposition.

All very human.

Actually, you got that a bit off. Art used to post pictures of bunnies after very indignant or angry letters. These letters were usually the kind that take the fun completely out of this hobby. He never called the authors "bunnies" just opined that they needed one. In other words, "chill out."

My favorite letter in this vein was a very simple one. Went like this: "Dear Art, I've had a really sh***y day. Can I have a bunny?" Art's repsonse: "Sure!" and there was a picture of an adorable bunny. :)

I miss "Listener."

user510	so.....it could be used to disguise more than just one type of intent. The real question becomes why bother to publish extremely negative letters to the editor in the first place! They could choose which letters to publish. Evidently the magazine enjoyed passing out bunnies. Regardless of the editors tone it comes from a position of condescension, be it benign or malignant. -Steve
