Hi guys.

As the title says - is there a recommended iOS/iPhone app for keeping track of your vinyl collection? I've been printing paper so far but thought It'd be easier and better with an app?

Any recommendations? It doesn't have to be free as long as it's priced within reason.

Thanks.

You could set up a discogs account. You can manage your collection, set up a wantlist, and buy/sell.

Agreed on Discogs. On the android platform the app is junk but a link to your collection works perfectly and is a joy to use. The iPad app work nicely too. You can do it all from your handheld device.

Another option......, posted on October 23, 2014 at 14:00:41

I use a database to keep track of all my LP's and CD's - using Filemaker Pro. I then export to a spreadsheet and carry that file on my phone.

I can open the file with Docs To Go when I'm shopping for records - it tells me the condition of what I have, whether it should be replaced, etc.

I suppose you could also do that with a spreadsheet only, depending on how many LP's you have.

The advantage is that if I'm in the boonies I don't have to worry about internet access, I carry the information with me. That, and another password protected spreadsheet of all my passwords for various web sites and services.
