Acquired Virgil Thomson "Music For Films", Marriner/LA Chamber Orchestra, Angel

I played both sides and then immediately flipped it back to side one and played it again.

I'm certain I haven't been that captivated by an album since "Sounds of Silence" cut through the British Invasion. OK, I play Bernsteins Verdi Requiem and Prestige 7075: Thelonius Monk/Sonny Rollins frequently but over and over? Nah!

I have The Carmen Ballet (also on Angel, DS-37337) under Gerard Schwarz with the L.A. Chamber Orchestra...

I've done the same thing- MANY repeated listenings, either after it finishes or several days later...

Guess some things good come out of L.A..
