My friend John used to rebuild CRTs back in the 80s and I would hang out at his place weekends but you might enjoy this.

All those Marantz 18 and 19 tubes that need fixing - could be lucrative.

Those are actually available pretty cheap for 20 to 30 dollars NOS..

You had asked me back in Nov in response to a question about getting CRTs for Marantz tuners cheap. Here is one for 46usd but I have seen them for 20usd or 30usd at times on Ebay.This one is 46usd but I have seen them much cheaper.

I was managing a different project, but a part of the shop rebuilt CRTs back in the early 1980s, They rebuilt about 20 at a time every day. It was in Tucson, AZ.

Thanks Mike. I missed that. I'm going to get a 18 up that my best friend had. I wish he could have seen up fully going when he was still alive.
