Just bought these at a flea market.
No brand, nothing, just the sticker of a hi-fi shop on the back; probably custom built
no branding on the drivers
12inch alnico woofer with fabric (?) roll woofer
2 4(?) inch cone(?) midranges that I can't access (glued polystyrene chamber)
dome?tweeter

got them for cheap but all drivers work and they sound surprisingly good

Would be interested to know the brand of the drivers: Philips? Coral? ...

That choke/transformer with the phenolic strip on top looks like Nordmende.

Looks like a Jensen. They are good. It is one of the earlier domes. What do the mids look like?

Around the late 70's I started to notice local guys giving it a try in the audio sales market. I even inherited a pair from a local "rich kid" that was buying his second pair. Got the money from selling pot. Turned out the builder was buying Utah drivers and had sealed boxes made by a small speaker company called Ultralinear.

They did sound pretty good for the standards of the day. By today's standards I could see a half dozen design problems with that speaker. Unfortunately the drivers have long since blown out and obviously no replacements are available. The boxes ended up in the trash around 2010.

Isophon, from Germany (see link below --- "Verstehen..." post)

I can't remember seeing a Jensen speaker with cast aluminum basket.

I have no experience with Isophon. Are they good drivers?

I've seen that driver construction before. And I don't remember it being associated with anything good. Sorry, I don't mean to be negative but that's the way I remember seeing it.
