Did someone make a cabinet & add the Turntable?
Or did Marantz actually make all in one stereos prior to Superscope branded ones? I do not want to say they are rare,but this is the first one I have ever seen and in rather nice shape,I think as well!
I am not trying to help sell it or am I even thinking of buying it,but it
is something that I think they did not make many of?What year would this have been?Late 60's early 70's?

 With the right cartridge and speakers, that could be a very nice setup with one of the better Dual, Miracord or Garrard turntables on that list. Just the thing for an apartment, bedroom or dorm room. It would also work well in the average sized living of that time. I am defiantly feeling nostalgic, imagining the owner opening the latest Beatles, Joan Baez or Leonard Bernstein album and sliding it on the spindle ...

 Perfect for in a small Apartment like I use to live in! What speakers do you think would sound good with this?How about some KLH bookshelf speakers?

 With a damping factor of 30, I think that the damping factor is high enough to have a negligible effect on the base response compared to more modern transistor amps. Transistor era KLH speakers should work fine. You might need to use Bold Eagle's resistor trick on earlier, tube ear KLH speakers but I would try without and see how they perform. I suspect the resistor trick would not be needed. With this consideration, I think that KLH would be an excellent match. If you wanted to play louder, look to Electro Voice, JBL, Klipsch, Jensen, University or other high efficiency speakers.

 Did not buy it,but was wondering what speakers would work good with this set up,as I assume if one just found the Receiver it would sound the same!My 2nd thought would have been my JBL Lancer 44's or the Minmus 7's from Radio Shack!Maybe even my Allegro 3's by ZENITH,which were made before the Allegro 1000's,2000's,& 3000's that everyone talks about!

 Lancer 44 would be an excellent choice provided your surrounds are intact. I used to have a pair of Lancer 77's and they sounded great. They still sound great at my brother-in-laws house. They are beautifully made speakers too. Allegro's should work well too. I would recommend a subwoofer with the 7's. Fortunately subwoofers are one of the few things that you can still find good one easily at the thrift stores.
