I was given a pair of Scott S-17 speakers. Kinda rough shape but I think they'll come back appearance wise anyway. I might need to replace a tweeter as it is slightly torn. The woofers are in great shape. Any help finding source for original replacement would be great. Even a close replacement will be fine. I just can't say no to orphaned loudspeakers.

If it is just a torn cone on the tweeter try repairing it before replacing it, especially if it is a small break. Lots of info on the web, but I have used a little parchment paper or kleneex and some white glue to fix many a hole in damaged cones and could never hear any difference in the sound.

Like pushing a screw driver through the cone. Yeah, I did that!!!!

That's when you have to decide if it's going to be Scotch, Whiskey or a kick to the wall.

That is an easy repair and does not require a new cone.

You didn't see the hole, it wasn't repairable. And a very old full range 15" driver

I hit it with some diluted white glue with a fine brush. The cone bonded very well. Worked great, can't even tell from 2 feet away. Thanks.
