Beautiful, but it's all going to need extensive restoration.

Given his pricess, my guess is that most of what he has listed has been off and on eBay for a while. I'm familiar with the Brociner because it's been showing up on one of my searches for a very long time, and since he's asking for about double what everything is worth it's possible that most of it has a similar eBay history.

If it is the Brociner speaker that I am thinking about (front and back loaded Lowther), that is a very cool speaker! What has he been trying to get for it?

Some dealers have large networks of pickers, kind of like what you see on the fake reality shows. If he's a collector that's now just trying to sell the collection, then he's probably been at it for a long time. I've been collecting for a very long time and if I went to sell my collection it would look kind of like selling the contents of a museum.

I am not familiar with the one he is selling. This is the one I am talking about. The second page is here:

A stereo pair would be the find of the century! I would be overjoyed to find just one to go with my Brociner preamp and my Radio Craftsman amp for a mono system. Plans are on the web, but it looks like a very difficult build!

Nope. Never had Fisher. But I sold a lot of it back in the day when it was TOTL below McIntosh, at least at our store.
But that is some collection of rare and juicy items.

a long time. And at inflated prices. My guess is either retirement funding, or sell now to be sure that his heirs don't liquidate the collection for pennies on the dollar,
