I have a pair of Leak 2060 loudspeakers that feature the 6 ohm Wharfedale purple tweeter with round plastic housing/dome guard. I've replaced them with SEAS T25CF001 6 ohm tweeters and they sound a little bright. I'm wondering if the SEAS are more efficient than the Wharfedale units used originally. Does anyone know the efficiency spec for the Leak 2060 system or for the tweeter alone? Thanks

I had a pair of WD70D's with the purple tweeters but I do not know if they were identical in performance to yours. There was no dome guard. I had trouble finding anything efficient enough to compare side by side with the one good one I had. I think they were at least 93dB if not higher - maybe 95. That certainly doesn't match your observation.

Remember the stated efficiency for the SEAS tweeter is nominal. The dB rating at the crossover frequency of your speakers may be different (in this case it's probably lower than the stated 6dB) which could explain the slight increase in brightness.

Are you going to K-town next month? I'm going but only if the weather is good. I have some cool mono consoles and other typical stuff I'm bringing.

There is overhead protection and side, roll-down rain protectors at most edge tables in pavillion 1. The "overflow" pavillion 2 might require an inner spot for best protection of the wooden consoles. Of course, whether rainy or sunny, Kutztown is worth the trip. Consoles are certainly picking up in demand. C U there...

Oh I know the spot well, been a few times. I just won't spend two days outside AND do the long drive in the rain. If it's raining I'll wait till next year. I don't ever register early. I have a friend that just does Friday then gives me his spot and Reningers always seems to find me something when I just show up Friday from a no show or cancel anyway.

EDIT: I always want a perimeter spot as the metal roofs kill AM/HF/SW bands. I always rig an antenna
