It seems as though there haven't been as many posts on the AA in general - especially vintage.

Must be the good weather.

The summer tends to slow things down for me audio forum posting wise.

Norton: (reading from the script) I don't possess a mansion or a villa in France or a yacht or a string of poloponies.

Just busy enjoying a NJ summer - yeah right!

I was enjoying it until my air conditioner cut out. Fortunately, after a quick diagnostic, it turned out to be the motor run cap for the compressor and fan. I put it in yesterday morning before work and the house is cool again!

NO air conditioning in my home.
However, that is fairly typical of dwellings in Northern New Mexico.
The humidity is very low here, so Swamp Coolers are more the norm.
You'll find AC units are much more common in the lower and hotter altitudes of Southern New Mexico.

I switched to a much lower powered (and cooler running) 6AQ5/6AB4 SEUL integrated tube amplifier for the summer months.
That, and a small DC powered fan (cold beer or iced tea optional), keeps my small 10' x 10' music room reasonable comfortable.

Been out cycling over 100 miles/week. Life during the warm months is just another bike ride away. Doesn't leave a whole lot of time for listening.

That must be some villa if you are enjoying the ponies IN the villa! )MT(, posted on June 20, 2015 at 14:49:47

As the steam machine gets cranked, I have been retreating to a cool, darkened front room where my vintage TT(a BIC), Marantz 26 receiver and Fried Beta speakers sit in a cabinet.

I've been stylus cleaning, tweaking a bit, and playing some vinyl like Henry Mancini's "Music from Peter Gunn," Nancy Wilson's "Broadway my Way," and the Blue Note classic, "Something Else," with Cannonball Adderly, Miles Davis, Sam Jones, and Art Blakey.

Even Mikey Samra has been conspicuously absent the past month or two.

Perhaps we have all sufficiently beaten the horse(s)........
