Guys,

I picked up a jukebox tube amp for $25 at an arcade auction two weekends ago. It's stereo with 7868 output tubes in push pull. I believe the brand of the amp is Rock-Ola.

How well do these amps do in a normal stereo audio set up? I was thinking of restoring it and mating it with my Dynaco A25s.

Mike

Some of the Jukebox amps had surprisingly good output transformers. I measured one with OEM P/N 39234-SEI-33061, was made by Stancor (code 138), was flat to about 40 KHz. If that's the one you have let me know, I'll send the data. I don't have a schematic for that amp handy, but I believe I found it on-line.

I would look at the wiring closely - it may well have the RIAA EQ and pre-amp stage integrated -
They were built for Phono Only...
Happy Listening

Find out the circuit and see if the amp works in Class B or AB. (Class A I've never seen) Calculate global NFB, most use 10 dB, that's good with Class AB. I've never seen Ultra Linear, alway's Penthode Push Pull.
Class B oke but not for High End.
