Repairing VU Meters

Can VU meters be repaired? I have a Son Of Ampzilla amp that has VU meters. They are fine so far but I wonder if they can be repaired if a problem arises? Thanks for any and all info....

it depends upon what is 'broken'-
usually there is some adjustablility if the 0 point is off/ or you wish to calibrate-
but if the coil is cooked - not much to do.
What's 'broken'?

Yes, VU meters can be repaired. It requires surgery with up to removing the internals and replacing with a new meter movement. Depending upon the mechanicals, it can require a lot of diligence.
