I picked up a nice, complete AR XA today. The main problem with the table is that the foam mat was fused to the platter. I scraped off the foam but what's left is like a pebble finish on the metal. I soaked the outer platter in Goof-Off and let it sit, but it didn't do anything. I took a 3M scouring pad (the non-stick safe one) and it too didn't get off any of the fused foam. What can I use to get the old foam off? Will rubbing alcohol do a better job than Goof-Off (which I normally use to get sticker residue off of things)? Thanks, Chad |
