This gentleman analyzes the RCA circuits and makes improvements in several areas and has some nice schematics as well.

I've been reading Morgan Jones' books trying to learn about tube amps. Do you (or anyone else) have an opinion on this book? I find Jones' books quite hard to understand and am hoping to find something in more layman's terms.

The other problem with Jones is he doesn't do SE amps.

Though for guitar amps, basic topology and circuit philosophy applies to hi-fi, too. Easy reading, IMHO.

It's a useful reference but not very helpful to the less-experienced (IMHO), it reads like a treatise on the merits of his chosen (rather complex) topologies. There are a few short sections that are user-friendly for the learning/experimenting builder. It's seems to me there is a real void of a practical resource for people without significant electrical background.

It does look nice. I am strongly considering picking up a copy.
