I just realized - and nobody seems to talk about it?- that Panasonic reintroduced the Technics brand, wich is I think great news, as I'm fond of their vintage products...

Any chance that Reference amp is actually 55kg? Is that a typo? Maybe 5.5kg?

for a switching amp. I doubt it's a Levinson 53.

I don't have the actual price, but it's like REALLY expensive. And sweet looking too.

I have to admit if I can that kind of cash I would like to have one.

The last thing I would do is spend that kind of money on a overly lean, harmonically undernourished sounding switching amp! They work great for TV sound, but not much more. Maybe in the future, they will provide better quality.

I would much rather spend that coin (actually less) on an evolved competent tube amp like the latest version of my VTL MB-450s or Audio Research REF250s and enjoy music.

If I had that kind of coinage to blow on a stereo, it wouldn't really be that one. You're right on that one.
