I would love to build a paragon.

Mike, I could probably get it built but I don't know if the plans are available.

I would say not conical, but elliptical, just like the
JBL 076 "cateye" tweeter. I have some also, but nice fiberglass
clones. That horn was also used behing the large slant-plate lens.

Sure, send me an e-mail, and let me know the costs to WA state.

One thing...their horn, was designed for THEIR 15" woofer, so
the throat it sized differently than the Klipsh version.

It is a bit of a problematic design. I think a re-engining would be more worthy of the effort. (See link.)

I have the 375 horns and they look like a straight bugle so to speak. The cats eye tweeter,I have a pair of those but aren't those used in the L300s. Rich got a hell of a deal on a pair of L300s,lucky son of a biscuit.

okay, well, a straight bugle horn was not used in the Paragon.
Look at some web pics and you'll see the H5308 elliptical mid horn.

Was referring to the catseye as the same SHAPE of the H5308 mouth...elliptical. The 075 bullet was used in Paragon.

The L200/300 used the 1" throat round horns, exponential flare.

JBL made a short round horn used with a 2" driver (2440?)in the
large studio monitor. And also, the big "tater masher" round
horn that they sold seperatly.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm quite sure, I look through
the old catalogs quite a bit :)

These would be a godsend! I bought a set and built the units back in '73 but lost the plans (think I left them @ McBeath Lumber in Berkeley, CA while buying veneer to finish them in the eqrly '80's). If anybody can help me find a set I'd be eternally grateful (and happy to cover copying and mailing costs). TIA
