Could anyone direct me to where I might buy some nice new cable for my antenna it has been here since I bought the house 20 years ago I think it might improve my sound a bit ? Really the thing sounds great now but I have noticed some drifting here and there could be my vintage Fisher 90X tuner. I enjoy tubes but also have numerous other tuners maybe a total of 12 or so like that. And if you want to send me to sites that would improve my understanding of the tuners that would be helpful. I know I am asking a lot of help but I have always enjoyed radio non - commercial I listen to a station WPFW 89.3 FM as I am Blues fan and play a bit of blues for the past oh close to 50 years. Timbo's recommendation of RG6 Quad shield is a good one. I did a search on Amazon (link below) just to give you an idea, but you're on your own shopping there (or elsewhere) for the correct length and best prices. "And if you want to send me to sites that would improve my understanding of the tuners that would be helpful." One obvious answer is to visit the Tuner Information Center and read the introduction, specs, gangs and filters, alignments, etc. That ought to keep you busy for a while. There's a lot to understand about a tuner, especially if you're trying to learn how they work, rather than simply what performs well. Good luck, and have fun! |
