Who the hell designed these stupid connectors that hurt your fingers when you try to screw them??

I need a slide-in F-type connector just like the ones that use to come with the VHS-to-TV jumpers BUT I can't find any? At least, I have to find a source of the ones with the big nuts.

Question: Will I get better signal strength with RG-6 or should I stay with the RG-59 I'm currently using?

send me an e-mail & I can send you one (assuming you're in the US). You can attach it to your downlead with a female-female F coupling.

Not sure if anyone sells just the push-on F connectors for installation onto coax; did you check PartsExpress?

Otherwise, you can use an adjustable wrench or one of these purpose-built installation tools :-) (see link below)

The tuner connection is a lot smaller than that. I don't think it will fit. Probably weighs more than the tuner itself.

I hate those stupid connectors. These push-on adapters would have made life so much easier. Now I usually only have to deal with one (from the antenna) so it's not such a pain in the ass.

I like that you can get L shaped F connectors, posted on June 1, 2016 at 20:58:14

This makes it easier to avoid disturbing drapes where they intersect with a wall-plate. the cable can be more close to the wall and bend back back up at the floor level.

And I like the good low-loss connection they give, at that end at least!

Yes, fine threads can be a bit irritating. I'm an impatient man, so I know.
;~)!

Is that, like, a diphthong?

as in, "FL" shaped connectors, maybe?

;-)

(sorry, it just struck me as funny, Tim!)
