MR-74 FM dead, AM works

So woke up, got out of bed, turned my tuner on and no sound. Fiddle with cables switch boxes etc. Got it to work on AM.

any thoughts ?

HiFi Engine has a service manual for the MR-74
I can't think of what might have happened- other than a cap opening up - or a resistor-
Antenna connection still good?

Other than something wrong inside that might happen if the FM antenna fell off and the muting is on which would only let strong signals by it which may no longer exist if the antenna fell off.

I check the antenna connections at the tuner, will go up and chk in the attic. could be a cap

maybe a 'cold solder joint' - that intermittently opens...
that will be tough to find...

I got this to replace the MR67 while it was sent off. havent sent the MR67 off. need to do that then get this in for CLA
