Love the tuner, but I'm having a problem. After about 5 minutes listening, the volume drops basically in half, stays there for a while, and snaps back to full. When the volume drops, the brightness of the red stereo light dims as well. This repeats fairly frequently. I tried replacing the MPX tube based on what I've read on other forums, but that had no effect. Before I send it in for a checkup with Bill Thalmann (which based on the last time I had it in, will take 3 months) I wanted to check with my fellow asylum dwellers if there is another tube I should check. TIA, Zach

Clean all your tube sockets by spraying cleaner in them like deoxit and that will take care of it most likley.

Cleaning tube sockets is a good idea. Augment the action of DeOxit with pipe cleaners on Octal sockets and a periodontal brush on miniature tube sockets.
