Hello,
I am currently upgrading e-caps in my Philips AH-673 tuner. On the power supply board, there are seven diodes, D501-D507. The service manual only lists the parts #: 530171-1002 silicon diode. Can someone help me with a modern replacement part number? I want to increase the caps values so I want to make sure the new diodes can handle this increase. There is also a zener diode(15V) so I'm not sure if that needs to be upgraded as well.

Hi sherod,

The Vishay Telefunken SF4007 FRED or the Vishay 11DQ10 Schottky both work well. If you're interested there is a DIY recipe for the 673 over at the Yahoo FM Tuner Group that works quite well. Link attached, you may have to join the group for access. I've done several of these and have always been pleased with the results. Actually its one of my favorite tuners.

Its a pain to get to but don't ignore the recap on the switch board.

HA

Thanks for the link. I have already recapped the switchboard.
