I don't care if it is mono or stereo, but I have a lafayette amp and preamp and would like to complete the trifecta. BTW, I have the kt-600 and the kt-550. Thanks Norm

By the early 1960s Lafayette tuners advertised adjacent to that preamp and power amp would be the LT-78C and LT-81C. This is from the 1964 Lafayette catalog :-)

Let me know if you'd like scans posted.

This is the matching tuner to the KT600 and the guy didn't sell it but you can email him thru ebay as I don't think he sold it..You can probably get it for 50 dollars I would guess.

as it turns out, of course, since that amp and preamp were available for some years - AND since the FM stereo playing field was evolving around the introduction (finally!) of compatible MPX stereo (ca. 1961)- the "companion tuners" for the preamp varied from year to year.

Also, recall that the preamp and power amp were sold both as kits and assembled.

In 1964, there didn't seem to be any kit tuners from LRE; the two best tuners in the '64 catalog seem to be the two I mentioned.

... but things were different by 1964; transistors were in serious ascendancy by then!

Going back to 1962, things were a bit rosier; these big vacuum tube beasts were still top of the hill and the tuners around them were a tad more... interesting:

Let's see where this ends up $$ wise. There's often good stuff on eBay but at top prices often. Watch the video in the listing.
