I had not got around to trying out different coupling caps on my bread-boarded 26/813/813 amp yet, I just put in a tried and true 0.1uf Russian SG silver mica as they have won all my private shoot outs so far. Well with all the discussion below I figured I had better give it a try just to be sure, so I tried 0.1uf versions of both the T-3 teflon and the K72 teflon. Much to my surprise they both sounded great, and now it is going to be a tough decision to decide which one to use now that I am starting the actual amp build. Maybe I will try and set up an easy way to swap out the coupling caps so I can try the cap de jour without too much trouble in the completed amp. I hope you guys are happy causing me all this extra fun, I mean work.

The cap thread below caused me to dig out a couple of 0.47 FT-3 Teflons to try as bypass caps on the 4.7 µF output caps of my Vorhis preamp. They were already bypassed with 0.1 µF MIT Multicap polystyrenes, but I like what these Teflons are doing, even with the cheap clip leads they're hooked up with.

I better not learn to like them too much, since they'd never fit inside the chassis.
