Hi all.
I have some vintage potentiometers of which I'm trying to determine whether they are log or linear taper.
One is a 1 Meg that is right at 500K at the mid point of rotation so I assume it's linear.
I have two others, Allen Bradley 500K. They both measure very close to 500K and at the mid point of rotation they are just a hair over 300K. Of course, there is some margin of error judging the mid point but assuming that they are 300K at the exact midpoint, should I consider these as log taper or linear?

Thanks

Clip the meter to the input and output tabs. Then rotate the shaft and look at the meter. It will show you clearly the scale.

Yeah, seems far more linear than log anyway. Thanks.
