I was close to give up on these microphonic DHT´s untill i tryed to replace the tube sockets with o-ring rubber suspensions.
There are no sockets at all, just hanging in those o-rings
Works fine ;o)

I did something similar with 316A . There is still microphony which is inevitable with unsupported internals

Interesting design. Glad there was a solution for the microphonics issue. I'm wondering, what is the tube cage made from?

It´s made from an 1mm thick square stamped aluminium sheet.
I just rolled by hand

I've been wrestling with the need to enclose tubes that have exposed anode caps. I'm not satisfied to only cover them with ceramic or plastic caps that can simply be pulled off. I do have a way to construct aluminum "end caps" with grooves to hold rolled the sheetmetal, but the type of sheet to use has eluded me. Thanks for the idea!
