I will have something like this as soon. It is only a 5k a-a. Can send you an x-ray of it before it unwinds itself...:)
cheers,

Is this a question about amplifier design or transformer design?

It's the transformer design I'm after . Quite a lot of info on transformer winding but not very much WRT split bobbin transformers

I'm hoping my winder is familiar with such a design but if you have an x-ray , that would be useful

There is some information in RDH4 (Radiotron Designers Handbook 4th edition). Norman Crowhurst may have written some if you can find his magazine articles - I don't remember offhand.

Check out DT Williamson's original article. He gives complete instructions for the design of his chosen output transformer which was a twin coil type as you are asking for.

Williamson's output had (by memory) a 10K anode to anode pri impeadance. But you (or your builder) should be able to ratio it down to 8K and get the right number of turns and calculate out the correct wire size.

If you could ever find some... the Freed QGA series were all built on EI's with a double (side by side) bay winding arrangement.

Good luck with your project,
