Bouncy ball got me thinking about the modular psu I was going to build several years back but didn't. I think I want to try again. I would also make a modular driver unit and a modular opts unit. They would be set up for either SE or PP amps. From Bounce's post (in power supply vs sound thread) I get the idea that a regulated voltage supply is needed so the B+ can be adjustable, but I have never worked with regulated supplies before. Going to start researching them, but if anyone has any schems for a good one (max B+ about 450 to 500 vdc) they are willing to share that would be great. |

Just build a conventional choke loaded supply and run it from a VARIAC |
