Can someone please explain how the parallel and series features work on this choke. I am trying to come up with good 5H and 10H chokes that are at least 200mA, and these are interesting, but I don't understand the parallel, series part.

There are two windings on the choke. You can parallel them for more current capability and less inductance, or put them in series for more inductance and less current capability.

If you're going to put these in a power supply, Hammond chokes will work OK too.

Thanks for the info. What is your opinion of edcor chokes? They seem to be about the same price as hammond.
