That is one beautiful collection. I feel bad now, will have to take my gear outside and shoot it, as it never grew up like this!

Very nice.

Are the 6AS7/6N13 amps all OTL? Do you have any schematics for them?

It all looks beautiful. Nice work.
With that many paralleled tubes, is there a tube to tube balance problem? Is it difficult to account for tube to tube differences?
Thanks.

Cool!

I hope you can address some of the queries posted earlier.
What type of loudspeakers are you using?

Thanks.

Vbr,
Sam

Over time I have always shared the schematics in the Asylum.

By the way, some of them are OTL, others more conventional.

You will find the basic OTL schematic here:
http://db.audioasylum.com/mhtml/m.html?forum=otl&n=31976&highlight=modified+futterman&r=&search_url=%2Fcgi%2Fsearch.mpl%3Fforum%3Dtubes%26searchtext%3D6gf7

For the non conventional ones please search Tube DIY "stonehenge schematic" or the past posts of myself (6AS7_6SN7).

When paralleling tubes it takes some time to swap tubes around in order to get the same overall current in the overall push and pull sides.

6AS7/6080 tubes can be easily wired in such a way to have half tube working in the push and the other half in the pull side, as the current imbalance of the triodes inside the same glass is quite limited.

Similar considerations apply to 829B/3E29/GU-29/GI-30 double tetrodes.

In the end of the tweaking a close matching is usually guaranteed.

As a rule of thumb, you have to collect ten 6AS7/6080 tubes in order to manually select two 4 + 4 matched sets.
Matched' in this context must be interpreted in the above sense, as there can be differences of up to 50% in the plate currents of each tube.
By the way, the difference of plate currents tends to fade away over years of regular use.

Since 1989 I am listening to ESB 7/08.

The designer of these marvels has recently passed away and the ESB firm was shut down before year 2000.

Thank you for all of your pictures.
I regret my total unfamiliarity with ESB.
I'm confident they sound great with your amps!

Sam

Who did the metal work of the guitar amp? I like that one best, but they are all nice looking!

Best,

Oh, I really like this stuff

BRAVO

---

Please can you share the schematic of the guitar amp or only give me the data about Power Transformer and Output Transformer and the name of the power tube

Is a long time I'm thinking to build something for guitar use with an 829B or an 832

Many thanks in advance

K
