I'm stumped?

My (big) AN Dac will only drive one amplifier and speaker (monoblocs) in the front room, but it'll drive my little integrated T-Amp in the kitchen nice stereo separation both speakers.

So, I took my other (little) V-dac from the kitchen to the front room and it happily drives both my amps and speakers.

It always ran fine before can anyone throw some light on this?

Just a guess...One of the grounds (return path)in your interconnect is open. Or open in the device itself.

Hmm, so I have coax digital going into it and somewhere inside a ground (after the signal splits into two) is maybe floating?
Good suggestion, but I still don't understand why it works with my integrated amp but not my monos, nothing wrong with the monos because my other dac drives them fine?

The interrigated amp only needs 1 gnd return to work. It will function for both channels. Mono amps need both gnds to work.

Aha, that's starting to make sense I'm going to dig around inside and see where (if) I managed to float the ground last time I was futzing with it.
