The title says it. That's a Stephens 2 inch 16 track machine, sitting at Coast Recorders in San Francisco. Note the little gray and green potted plug-ins. Those are the I/Os. The guys at the studio were very pleased to get this. They feel it's maybe the best analog multitrack machine around and they plan to do as much analog production at coast as possible.

There's also an clapped out MCI 2 inch 24 track sitting just to the right, waiting to be hauled off by some unsuspecting recording engineer...

And there three ATRs - 1/4" 2tr, 1/2" 2tr and an ATR Services 1" 2 track with de Paravicini electronics. And there is a really crazy MM1200 converted to 1" two track, with MR70 playback electronics. IIRC there's a Studer in there somewhere too.

A Two inch 16 track is the best audiophile format running at 30 ips. It has wider tracks then any other format. Superior to a 2 inch 24 track. Thanks for sharing. Bob
