Both rebuilt by ESL. The golden is a truly amazing recorder. The dragon a lovely player. A metal cassette recorded from a master tape on an ATR 102 with a Bottlehead tube repro on the golden zxl1000 ltd and played back on the dragon is truly fantastic.

Do you keep the Dragon in your office?

Thanks Steve,

Actually no, I've been running a Mc71 tuner at the office in mono. We have two pretty decent classical fm stations in Mexico city and I just turn it on when I arrive and off when I leave. Digital through fm is very listeneable.

I have three dragons. One in the bedroom (willy hermann), the one pictured in the living room and another that I just traded in the tv/ht room. The later will need service someday I guess but the other two are just serviced.

I have plans to build a dedicated system for the horns one day. At that time the esl dragon will be the only source in the living room with my Baby Ongakus and my WE 755As.

Nice gear.
Did you build the baby Ongakus, and if so where did you get the schematics? SP magazine said they ere going to post on, but I have never found it.
