Burwen 1201 does not seem to be working

Hello All, I just purchased a Burwen 1201 from Ebay as is and I am wondering how to disassemble the unit. It has four feet on the bottom, tried that with no luck. There must be some kind of trick with the wood side panels. Does any one know out there? I want to see if there are any bad capacitors that need replacing since it does not seem like it is working. Adjusting the sensitivity control and doing a A/B comparison does not show any difference. Any info is greatly appreciated. Regards, Gary aka Guntier GC
