 Hi Rod,

I noticed that the post of someone griping about them was just deleted.

Well.. While I've never mentioned it, I hate those damn things! And the killer is I can't turn them off because I'm using an iPad.

If I never see a stupid dancing cow, running mailbox or cat carrying a kitten micro movie again life will be sweeter by far. What on earth do they add? If they bring value to some users perhaps disabling them could be a user, (maybe even a contributor?) option.

 Well, I can't argue with that.

I'd love to do an ignore user thing, but it's not trivial.

It's possible to disable sig lines for contributors fairly easily, though it's a two edged sword. How many do you want to see and know, oh yeah, it's that one, versus that stupid dancing cow that you knew was still there?

If there's a way to just block animated gifs, I'd do it. I just don't know of one.
