Well, when I was doing the same decision about a year ago, I resorted to three reasons as to why I bought the Paradigms (over the NHTs):

1) Bass -- the Paradigm goes DEEP for a minimonitor. It was sufficient for me to keep the speakers as they are in my entry level system without adding a sub, etc.

2) Room placement -- the Paradigms are, from what I hear, much easier to place. Give them a foot or so from the back and sides, and you're fine.

3) Price -- I bought my Paradigms for $240. At the time, the difference in price meant a lot to me.

If you want to buy a pair for me, I'll take a chance on the Paradigms.

Just joking. But is there some reason that you don't trust your own hearing? Even if you buy the based on someone else's opinion, you still have to live with them.

the NHTs are better if you ask me, but you realy need to listen for yourself. One thing I will say though is to listen to them for a seriouls amount of time, even take them home for a couple of days if your dealer will let you. My experience with NHTs is that you need to listen for a couple of days before you get used to them, then the paradigms will sound muddy and boomy by comparison. At first glance though, the pardigms are more bassy (not more accurate, but they have a lot of midbass) and this will sound more atractive at first. As always, listen for yourself. Be carefull what components you put them on though. I find Yamaha and NHT to be a bad match for example. Listen in your home w/ your equip if at all posible.

The Mini-Monitors have more of a "wow" factor the first time you hear them on a demo. They have a more forward sound and a deeper bass. But, I think that in the long run, the NHT SuperOnes are the superior speaker. They have better detail, soundstaging, and well-timed bass. The SuperOnes qualities aren't as showy as the Paradigms, so they take some time to show their pedigree...
