Speaker Builder Pro 2.0 is a web site for many Scandinavian drivers that will design enclosures, both reflex and closed box. You need to know the VAS, resonance and Qts of the driver and you have to select the alignment desired(and number of drivers).

But there is also a spot for series resistance. I'm not sure what they want here. Is it the resistance of the driver voice coil or the resistance of the low pass crossover or?? Does anyone know? Adding resistance seems to lower the box resonance and to increase the box volume.

Series resistance can be referring to series inductor resistance, voice coil, and resistor resistance. At some point the Speaker Builder program may be asking for any one. Usually the voice coil resistance is needed for enclosure design. Driver voice coil resistance, and series resistance from inductors or resistors is required when designing the crossover.

The output impedance of your amp plus the resistance of the speaker wire plus any resistance in your crossover.

Thanks for some insight. This site is only for enclosure design and doesn't do anything for crossover design. In my case if I do end up building the crossover will be active, probably the Hypex two channel modules that include digital equalization.
