I posted how these people fished my email address through ebay bidding. Some have given up trying to sell to me because of; I'm guessing to many questions. Well one from the UK is still in pursuit. This freaking guy after I told him there is no way I'm going to send any form of money until I inspect unit. So he agrees to ship first. Then I will send payment. "maybe this guy was serious all along" (I thought) Then reality hit me and said a new ML 383 for $1700 shipped? just not possible. So he sends email with UPS tracking number and a scan of the form saying to and where it's going. Weight is right on. Looks really legit.
Only it has yet to be picked up. If you go to UPS and track it there is an *that says does not mean unit is in possession of Ups yet.
Something like that. these guys are unbelievable.

It's been days since I got the tracking number and the "package" still has not shipped.(Obviously there has never been one). The guy did a little research and figured out proper shipping weight and all. So all along I've been wasting this guys time and hopefully the report I sent to ebay is helping someone somewhere. Why you ask pass email to him numerous times a day? These people piss me off so much I needed to feel I was doing something If only just wasting their time away from another scam. Last night I was stressed out and gave him a verbal beating via email. (surethathurts) No reply from him and don't expect one. He is probably moving on to next victim with his half wit scam.

Is there a site which states the kind of scams going on?
or monikers and names could at least be reported?

With as much effort as these fools have put into trying to scam people they could have done an honest job. My judgment to them:
LIFE IN PRISON w/no stereo or women

Keep the peace:) -justin-

Keep us posted. How can someone get UPS to issue a tracking number without actually shipping something?

Each UPS shipper gets a book of preprinted tracking numbers on stickers which attach to the package.

A shipper can easily fake a UPS shipment by filling out the shipping document, assigning tracking numbers, signing the form where the driver normally signs, and faxing a copy of the signed form to the unwitting consignee. The only way to confirm is to enter the tracking number online into the UPS tracking system and get confirmation of pickup.

Of course UPS often claims not to have record of a package which is actually in its system. So, wait for it to arrive. Having a tracking number is in itself meaningless.
