I've read that the 45 tube sounds amazing but I can only find one SET headphone amp with this tube which is from Halgorythme. Are there any others? Has anyone here heard the Halgorythme?

Are you open to DIY? I'm rocking out to a 45 headphone amp as I type this but it's DIY.

Hi,

Maybe ask custom amp builders? There are a few custom builder inmates in this forum who might accomodate you using custom iron. I personally would go for an all DHT 2 stage plate choke loaded 26 DC coupled 45 headphone amp using excellent filament supplies. You could use a high quality input transformer to bump up the gain from (low output impedance) sources..

Regards..

This allows you to hook up your speaker cables to the adaptor and plug in headphones. Keep in mind that there will be more noise through the adapter. My 45, 2A3 and 300B speaker amps are DC coupled and there is a slight hum, but they sound glorious through headphones.

My adapter was custom built by Blue Circle Audio. It's basically an attenuator with adjustments for both amplifier output impedance and headphone impedance.

Hi,

Yes, but It's not something I designed or drew up myself so I can't post it here. Send me an email through AA and I could reply with an attachment.

Regards..

If your open to building it yourself, here's one I put together. I would definitely use a flywheel power supply if building it today.
