KT88/EL34 SET vs PP2A3

EASY - the one that is best designed, wired, layed-out, with the most carefully thought-out, on the part of the DIYer !!! All these factors combined far outweigh tube choice.

I built an amp that takes all of them.
I switch between them as the mood strikes me.
KT88 is a powerhouse if you want to rock the house.
KT66 is the high frequency champs and
brings the performance into the room.
6L6GC is the romantic sound which
gives you the intimate club setting.
The EL34, 6P3S-E and KT77 did nothing for me.

Caucasian Blackplate Industry Professional Posts: 8313 Location: Seattle Joined: June 18, 2004	The PP 2A3 has the potential to make less distortion than the PP EL34, assuming no feedback is used. The PP EL34 will cost considerably less to implement.
